I have a devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  The first time i saw an image like this it was from my grandmother; Abuelita.  I asked what it was, and she said it was a "Milagro", which means miracle in Spanish.  I have always been drawn to art and items that have this element. I am a south Louisiana girl who grew up in the Cajun culture with Spanish roots; my Catholic upbringing and faith run deep because of this.
