As I worked on this piece I was thinking about the song, "Mary Did You Know".   I was imagining the life of Mary, the Mother of Jesus… All what she faced, all she endured, the sorrows of her son’s passion and death, the trust she had in God’s plan. I think about when Jesus was just a baby, the moments she had, the thoughts she may have had knowing what was to come…  I thought of how I would have handled it.  How I would have struggled.  Mary, she remained full of Grace..  It made me realize that Mary truly is the Queen of Virtue.  I look to her to be more virtuous.  This image makes me think of me and my children and all that I have endured and will endure as their mother.  I once held them as little babies and now I am watching them carry their own crosses, so to speak and I truly can not imagine being Mary knowing all what she went through being the Mother of Jesus.  Mary did you know…?
