I have to say this is one of my favorite art minis on canvas yet.  I love light colors for the clean purity they bring to a space.  I love painting the Immaculate Heart of Mary as it brings me to contemplate about not only the Heart of Our Blessed Mother but my own heart as a mommy.  I look to Our Blessed Mother for her virtues which she stands so firm in and it inspires me and gives me hope as a mother.  I look at the sword that pierces her heart and think of the sorrows that I go through as a mom that pierces my heart as well.  As Mary had to step back and trust in God's plan for her son, we too have to step back and allow our kids to carry their crosses so that God's divine plan for them can be fulfilled.  We do not always understand, and it is difficult as a mother but we must be steadfast in our faith and trust in God.  All the good and what even seems to be bad is allowed by God and He always works things for our good.  Love, Salina
